Inspiration

We kept running into the same problem: asking Bolt to build everything in one go was overwhelming and ineffective. We needed a tool to slow us down — to help us ship, step by step.

What it does

It turns your idea or PRD into a checklist and walks you through it one prompt at a time — so you build intentionally, not chaotically.

How we built it

We built VibeBuddy inside Bolt using its own philosophy: each feature was developed as a discrete, testable step, with focused prompts and iteration.

Challenges we ran into

Avoiding scope creep and resisting the urge to overbuild early. Auth and polish were tempting distractions — we kept cutting back.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We turned our own messy workflows into a focused, usable tool — and it’s already helping us and others ship more reliably.

What we learned

Asking for “everything” results in nothing. Step-by-step wins every time. Bolt works best when you work with it, not against it.

What's next for VibeBuddy: Execution Companion

Support for saving projects, sharing plans, and exporting to GitHub Issues. Maybe even a progress-sharing leaderboard.
