Vibe

Inspiration

We were inspired by rythm bot, a discord bot that had essentially the same functionality that we intended to implement, but was taken down due to a dispute with YouTube.

What it does

Vibe enters voice channels on discord and plays audio from YouTube.

How we built it

We built vibe bot with node.js using the discord.js and YouTube-dl apis.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled learning node and were stuck figuring out how to get the bot to play audio for a long time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we managed to learn node and all of the apis within the time limit.

What's next for Vibe

As it is, vibe bot's functionalities are fairly generic. Our next steps would be to add unique commands and personalize the bot.
