Inspiration

People often want to help their local community or find assistance but struggle to find easy, trustworthy platforms for non-monetary exchanges like skill-sharing, borrowing tools, or general neighborly assistance. This unmet need for a reliable connection point between those offering and those needing help is the core inspiration behind "Kindness Connect Vibe Hub".

What it does

The "Match UP, Connecting Kindness, Creating Vibe" platform aims to connect individuals who need help with those who want to offer it. It facilitates mutual aid by:

1.Connecting people in need with those offering help: The platform brings together individuals seeking assistance and those willing to provide it.

2.Offering diverse assistance: Users can find or offer help across various sectors, including language learning, study programs, finance, business, food, care, transportation, tour planning, and general online assistance via video calls.

3.Leveraging AI for matching: Artificial intelligence evaluates user preferences to provide perfect matches between users.

4.Encouraging participation: The platform incentivizes engagement through a system of levels, volunteer hours, certificates, and reviews. Volunteer hours can generate sharable online badges and certificates.

5.Facilitating in-person help (future prototype): A prototype for physical assistance will be developed, contingent on a sufficient number of users in a single area.

6.Connecting like-minded individuals: It serves as a platform for helping and connecting people with similar interests.

7.Community and Event Creation: Users can join various communities based on interests or location. Within these communities, users will have the ability to create and organize events, which can be designated as either global (accessible to all users on the platform, regardless of location, for online interactions) or local (specific to a geographical area, for in-person gatherings and activities).

How we built it

The platform was built using: Backend: Node.js Frontend: React Integration: Bolt integrated with Supabase .

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenges encountered during development were in the areas of: Security: Ensuring the security of the platform. Messaging System: Implementing a secure and encrypted messaging system. Database System, Task Application System(Logic)

The development team is particularly proud of:

Dynamic Dashboard: The dashboard is dynamic and provides real-time data. Effective Community Groups: Our community groups are functioning well. Perfect Event Management: Our event management system is working perfectly. Functional Post Timeline: Our post timeline is working well. Voulnteer Hub( Connecting Volunteer)

What's next for Vibe exchange

We will continue to work on our platform to prepare it for incubator programs and launch it as a startup. We created with our our inspiration, love and thinking about sutaibale and tangible development in our community.
