Inspiration
As a junior developer with just over a year of coding experience, I’ve always dreamed of becoming an indie hacker and building my own internet company. The rise of AI has empowered me to build faster and better, even with limited experience. But while building solo, I often felt lonely and lacked a sense of community. I wanted a space to share what I was working on, celebrate small wins, and connect with others on a similar journey. That’s how Vibe Code Hub was born a platform where builders don't have to vibe alone.
What it does
Vibe Code Hub is a real-time web app that helps vibe coders, inde makers, or other builders stay connected and motivated while building their products.
It offers:
- A live world map that shows online users in real time so builders can feel part of a global community.
- Customizable user profiles with bios and project links to showcase their work and promote themselves.
- A built in Pomodoro timer to stay focused and productive during work sessions.
- Gamification features like streak tracking and progress stats to make building fun and rewarding.
- A passive social presence system that allows people to vibe together without needing constant interaction.

How we built it
The app was built entirely using Bolt.new without any external code editors. I used React, TypeScript, and Vite for the frontend. Supabase was used for authentication and database management. Finally, the app was deployed to Netlify for quick and easy hosting.
This setup allowed me to go from idea to launch using AI tools and natural language prompts.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was translating my vision into clear prompts. It took many iterations to get the results I wanted from AI. Sometimes the code generated did not work as expected, leading to debugging loops that were hard to escape.
As someone still learning, I struggled to understand the full structure and logic behind the generated code. This made debugging and making improvements more difficult. Scaling the project with clean and maintainable code will be the next big challenge for me.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was able to turn 90 percent of my original idea into a working product that people can use. This was a huge milestone for me. The most happy part is when see my friends interact with the app and enjoy the experience, it gave me a strong sense of accomplishment. It showed me that AI tools and platforms like Bolt can help transform ideas into real, usable products, even if you’re still early in your coding journey or didnt have any dev skill at all.
What we learned
The most important lesson I learned is that you need to have a clear idea of what you want to build before starting. From there, breaking the project down into simple, actionable steps is key. Unclear prompts lead to unclear results. The clearer your thinking, the better your product will turn out.
What's next for Vibe Code Hub
My first priority is to fix major bugs and polish the user experience so the app runs smoothly. I want it to be useful and loved by the people who use it.
To support its growth, I plan to explore monetization options through ads or premium user features. Long term, I hope to build Vibe Code Hub into a sustainable product and a meaningful space for coders around the world to build together, not alone.
