Inspiration

We were inspired by how machine learning was able to perform facial recognition. We wanted to learn more about that process so we decided to experiment with emotion analyzer.

What it does

The web application detects the emotions of the people that the camera points at and changes the color of the background based on the emotions.

How we built it

We used the react library and an API to build our web application.

Challenges we ran into

Using the web application was a challenge because we had to learn everything from the grounds up. Using react was also a challenge since it was our first project using react to build a web application. Trying to learn the API was a big challenge since it was our first time using an API to build a complete project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning how to make a web application using react and adding more functionality to it using an API to perform facial recognition. We were also proud of how we were able to build a complete working web application for our first hackathon.
