Tinder, Instagram

What it does

VFinder is an iOS app that helps users discover cafes and hangout spots using a swipe-based interface. Swipe right to show interest in a place or left to pass. The app personalizes recommendations based on user preferences and provides detailed information, including reviews and ratings. VFinder also features a forum where users can share experiences and tips, making it a community-driven platform for exploring new spots.

Coding and creating the presentation within the limited timeframe.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed a platform that not only guides users to the perfect cafes and hangout spots but also fosters community engagement through a forum where users can share their experiences and recommendations. Our app has enhanced social connections, enabled seamless navigation with integrated maps, and simplified the decision-making process with detailed venue information and user reviews. VFinder has truly made exploring Singapore's vibrant scene easier, more enjoyable, and more fulfilling for everyone who uses it.

What we learned

Through developing VFinder, we've learned invaluable lessons in user-centric design, Swift Language for efficiency, and fostering community engagement. We've ensured it remains relevant and user-friendly. Our journey has taught us the importance of providing comprehensive venue information, overcoming technical challenges, and adapting to meet scalability demands. Ensuring VFinder not only meets but exceeds user expectations, enhancing how people discover and enjoy Singapore's diverse hangout spots.

What's next for VFinder

  1. Expand this to andriod.
  2. Using AI to generate the different categories to allow users to have more personalised experiences.
  3. Implement branding terminologies.
  4. Customisable aesthetics. Dark and Light Theme for users to choose.
  5. Integrate maps and more detailed directions to allow users to easily locate the venues in the app.
