Inspiration

Modern dating apps have turned romance into an endless, superficial slot machine. Most college students and young adults experience intense swipe fatigue and chronic ghosting. We built Veya to test whether a slower, intentional, context-first matching experience could bring back meaningful conversations.

What it does

Veya is a lightweight web MVP that eliminates mindless swiping. Instead of quick left-or-right judgments based solely on photo feeds, users discover connections through context-driven introductions, shared thought starters, and intentional interactions.

How we built it

Built as a responsive web app using clean HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, designed to load instantly on any mobile or desktop browser without requiring an app store download.

What's next for Veya
