Inspiration
Veterans are uniquely affected by mental health problems like depression, PTSD, and anxiety. We sought a solution to help combat this problem.
What it does
VetConnect provides veterans with a friendly VUI (Voice User Interface), to gauge their mental health through an NCBI-approved survey and journal their thoughts every day. The connected web-app displays their journal entries and a daily set of goals. Veterans can additionally their 'Happiness Index' on a dynamic visualization. To provide additional connectivity, veterans can connect with friends to view one another's Happiness Index.

React JS & Bootstrap UI → Frontend Amazon Alexa Skill → User Experience Node JS → Backend MongoDB → Database AWS Amplify → Web Hosting AWS Lambda → Serverless Functions AWS Cognito → User Authentication

Learning to write functional Alexa Skills to solve a unique problem. Working well together as a team. The final product :).

Integration with therapists or a PCP to share mental health survey results and get information about prescription refills.
