Inspiration

The inspiration for this project comes from analysing existing problems with decentralised Exchanges such as

Multi Swap Curve Support: Most exchange allow only one type of swap curve, either low slippage stable swap or uniswap style swaps.

Liquidity Incentivization: Every DEX needs to maintain a healthy liquidity to provide seamless and low slippage swaps to the users. Providing emissions (in project token) is one of the most preferred way, but it can be costly to maintain, and often times result in a "farm and dump" resulting in "unsticky" liquidity.

Centralised Control of Token Emission: Most DEX allocate tokens to LP pools in a centralized manner, rewarding their own LPs and partner protocols, leading to sub-optimal allocation of emissions.

Why veSwap ?

VeSwap Supports Stable Swaps and Uniswap Style volatile swaps, with just 0.15% fees. VeSwap also comes with curve inspired gauges, and a bribe market for a better and decentralised liquidity incentivization.

What it does

VeSwap Is an Automated market maker with the following features.

  1. Supports Stable Swaps and Uniswap Style volatile swaps with very Low Slippage.
  2. Dex with minimal Fees of just 0.15 percent, some of the lowest in defi.
  3. Support uniswap style LP and curve-inspired Gauges for a better and decentralized liquidity incentivization.
  4. Allows permissionless access to create bribes on any LP pools
  5. Fully Decentralised from day one, with ve tokenomics. ve Holders control the protocol, revenue, and token emissions.

How we built it

Smart Contracts => Solidity, hardhat

Data Indexing and Aggregation => Graph Protocol and aws for hosting

Frontend => Next, React, Ethers, vercel for hosting

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Fully Working Dapp supporting features such as volatile/stable swaps, ve Tokenization, Bribe creation and Voting for emission distribution.

What's next for VeSwap

We have many things planned for veSwap, the complete roadmap is available here (https://docs.ve-swap.com/info/roadmap).

The next set of steps are aimed at taking veSwap to mainnet.

  1. Launch Incentivized Testnet for users to interact and test.
  2. Bug Bounty and audits/third party reviews for smart contracts
  3. Presale and FairLaunch on XDC mainnet

Currently veSwap is only available on XDC Testnet, as mentioned above we plan on having an incentivized testnet and bug bounty/audits to ensure production readiness before deploying on mainnet. Deploying without thorough user trials can lead to unexpected behaviour and/or loss of funds for the users interacting with the protocol.
