Inspiration
There are a limited number of Bible verse memorization apps available to use. Most of these, however, cost money and are only available in hard-to-understand Bible translations such as King James Version. Because of our desire to memorize Bible verses, we decided to create a fun, easy-to-use Bible verse memorization app. Through this app, we hope to help people reach their potential in memorizing verses.
What it does
This app allows users to easily memorize Bible verses by playing games and reading the passage. The games quiz the user on the verse to help solidify their memorization. Users can add as many verses as they would like to memorize all for free. The Bible will be in English Standard Version but will eventually branch out to other translations and languages.
How we built it
Because this is a large project, we narrowed the scope of it for this hackathon. We designed the user interface and worked out the logistics of creating the app. We used Figma to design what the app will look like. We plan to use Flutter and Dart to build the app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how far we have come with this app. The user interface is minimalist, trendy, and easy-to-use, giving anyone the opportunity to memorize verses.
What we learned
We learned how to design user-friendly apps using Figma. We learned a lot about how to set color schemes, fonts, and designs that align with our message and create a positive experience for our users.
What's next for Versify
The next step is to create this app user Flutter and Dart. Using our Figma designs, this step will be a lot easier. Eventually, we hope to launch Versify on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store so we can share this great app with the world.
