Inspiration

I wanted a way to express feelings when words failed — something that could turn everyday thoughts into art. VerseMe was born from the idea that everyone deserves a poem, even if they don’t know how to write one.

What it does

VerseMe is a personalized poem generator that creates original, emotionally tailored poems based on your mood, topic, and message. Whether it’s love, heartbreak, or just coffee vibes, VerseMe transforms your thoughts into verse instantly.

How we built it

Using Bolt.new, I built VerseMe in a single prompt. The interface lets users select moods, enter a topic or name, and receive an AI-generated poem styled to fit the emotion. I added smooth animations and a soft aesthetic to match the poetic feel.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing emotional tone with poetic structure was tricky — making sure the poems felt human, not robotic. Creating a clean, distraction-free experience also meant keeping features minimal yet meaningful.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that in just one prompt, VerseMe became a fully functional, delightful tool that makes poetry accessible to everyone — even people who’ve never written a line before.

What we learned

I learned that simplicity can be powerful — giving users a small, beautiful tool can make a big emotional impact. Bolt.new also showed me how fast ideas can become reality.

What’s next for VerseMe

Next, I want to add voice narration, a “Haiku Mode,” and a daily poem feature. I’d also love to integrate sharing tools so people can send or post their poems with a single click.

That’s how VerseMe was born. I wanted to create something that would let anyone, anywhere, turn their mood or message into a poem with just a few taps. Whether it’s a sweet note to a loved one, a way to cope with a tough day, or simply a burst of creativity, VerseMe makes poetry easy, personal, and fun. Because sometimes, all we need is the right words — beautifully arranged — to feel seen, heard, or inspired.
