Inspiration
I founded a tech community(Technoob) dedicated to empowering newcomers with resources, learning opportunities, and collaborative support. Within our community, organizing live sessions and masterclasses is essential, often requiring effective email campaigns and seamless communication. Leveraging our existing domain and Amazon SES infrastructure, I spearheaded the development of Versa Mail integration directly into our Slack workspace. Now, we effortlessly manage email campaigns and receive responses, all within our familiar Slack environment.
What it does
- With the slack application, we can use slack /commands with presaved templates to send campaign emails to our mailing list.
- When users respond to the campaigns, we recieve the emails on a slack channel or directly to a users slack dm with the ability to respond to the email within slack. The response will be sent via the users slack username and our domain. ## How we built it This was built on a Nodejs server currently powering the community. The technologies used include Amazon SES, Amazon SNS, Amazon lambda Function, S3 Bucket, Slack API, and Aazon SQS ## Challenges we ran into
