During the hackathon, our team wanted to solve a problem that affects millions of people every day—accessing government services. Many citizens struggle to understand government schemes, identify the required documents, or file complaints due to complex procedures, language barriers, and scattered information. To address this, we built Smart Bharat AI – Civic Companion, a Generative AI-powered web platform that simplifies interactions with government services. The platform acts as an intelligent assistant, helping users discover personalized government schemes, understand document requirements, generate professional complaint letters, and receive guidance in multiple languages through a simple, user-friendly interface. Our focus was not just on building an AI chatbot but on creating a practical solution that improves transparency, accessibility, and digital inclusion. Throughout the hackathon, we refined the user experience, integrated AI-driven features, and designed an intuitive interface to ensure that anyone, regardless of technical knowledge, could use the platform with ease. This project reflects our belief that technology should solve real-world problems. By combining Generative AI with a citizen-centric design, Smart Bharat AI demonstrates how innovation can make government services faster, smarter, and more accessible for everyone.
