Inspiration
Public figure verification (such as TikTok and Meta blue badges) is a rigorous process requiring applicants to present a highly structured dossier of reputable press coverage. VeriPress Hub was created to automate the aggregation, organization, and validation of these press dossiers, making the green check verification process simple, fast, and transparent.
What it does
VeriPress Hub acts as a centralized dashboard where creators and public figures can input their names, compile their verified press coverage, track their eligibility status, and generate a structured, shareable press dossier package that meets the exact requirements of social media verification teams.
How we built it
The frontend was designed and prototyped using Vercel v0 and built with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS. We integrated AWS Databases on the backend to store public profiles, verify press link lists, and manage dossiers securely with high availability.
Challenges we faced
Automating the parsing and verification of multi-source press publications, ensuring data security and privacy for high-profile users, and designing a highly clean, intuitive UI that represents complex press metadata dynamically.
What we learned
We learned the power of rapid prototyping using Vercel v0, and how to design low-latency, scalable data schemas on AWS Databases to support real-time user verification status tracking.
What's next for VeriPress Hub
We plan to integrate AI-powered analysis to auto-summarize articles, predict verification approval probability, and establish direct API integrations with platform partner verification systems.
