🔍 Inspiration

Hiring processes often favour companies while leaving candidates in the dark. We wanted to create a fair, transparent, and AI-powered platform that supports both sides — making vetting smarter and job applications less stressful.

🚀 What It Does

VeriCore is an AI-driven vetting platform. It allows companies to verify candidates quickly while giving jobseekers a personal dashboard to upload CVs, track their checks, receive AI-powered insights, and get application support.

🛠️ How We Built It

We used React and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, Supabase for auth and data management, and integrated Gemini APIs for vetting analysis, CV feedback, and application question helpers.

⚙️ Challenges We Ran Into

Balancing candidate and company features within a clean UI was a challenge. We also had to carefully design how AI feedback is delivered so it’s useful, clear, and feels personalised — not generic.

  • Built a working AI-powered CV and vetting analysis tool in record time.
  • Designed a dual-sided dashboard for both candidates and companies.
  • Delivered helpful, readable AI insights directly to jobseekers.

📚 What We Learned

Creating fair, transparent hiring tools benefits both applicants and employers. AI is powerful, but clarity, empathy, and UX design matter just as much when supporting real people in real job hunts.

  • Add live job recommendations based on AI-analyzed CV data.
  • Launch candidate notification alerts for new vetting reports.
  • Build deeper integrations with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) for businesses.
