With ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting becoming a necessity rather than an option, I noticed that many companies struggle with collecting, understanding, and presenting their sustainability performance in a meaningful way. I created** VerdeAI** to help organizations navigate ESG complexity by turning raw data into actionable insights—ultimately promoting a greener, more responsible way of doing business.

What it does

**VerdeAI **is an AI-powered sustainability assistant that helps companies understand, track, and report their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance—directly within their Salesforce environment.

Key Features: ESG Data Analysis: Aggregates internal data (via Salesforce) and external sustainability data to evaluate ESG metrics.

**AI Agent in Salesforce (via Agentforce): **Acts as an autonomous ESG analyst that can answer questions, provide recommendations, and assist in decision-making.

**Automated ESG Report Generation: **Generates reports aligned with global standards like GRI, SASB, and TCFD—customized to the company’s industry and impact.

Dashboards & KPIs:Displays real-time ESG insights, carbon footprints, and improvement areas through interactive dashboards.

Actionable Insights: Offers sustainability recommendations to help businesses improve their ESG scores and make greener decisions.

How we built it

**VerdeAI **was built as a smart ESG assistant, integrated directly within the Salesforce ecosystem using Agentforce.used flows to create the structure how to work.

Challenges we ran into

**Agent behavior tuning: **Designing an AI agent in Agentforce that interacts smoothly with Salesforce objects and avoids redundant actions was complex.

**Data variety: **ESG data sources vary widely, and mapping them to consistent metrics required custom logic and fallback mechanisms.

Report quality: Ensuring generated reports met industry expectations for clarity, compliance, and usefulness.

Limited time: Integrating AI, data pipelines, and enterprise CRM under hackathon deadlines was a sprint!
