Inspiration
People with Autism find it very hard to communicate verbally with others. They oftentimes need visual prompts or a letter board to spell out what they want and this is an extremely time-consuming and a tedious task for caregivers.
What it does
We built an app that allows our users to generate visual cues based on the context of the conversation in an effort to create an alternate mode of communication that puts to rest letterboards and symbols
How we built it
We made an app using Flutter convert speech to text and using AI, analyse the prompt, generate possible answers to the prompt and generate images that allows people with autism to answer easier.
What's next for Verbalise
We plan to expand on this idea to include other forms of communication and improve on the image generation capabilites as well as the speed of execution.
