Inspiration

A basketball client needed a venue and court booking system, and I came up with a way to prevent double booking within QuickBase Natively

What it does

Book a venue and a number of courts on a date for a specific time with the option to repeat.

How I built it

Using native Quick Base features like automations and Javascript

Challenges I ran into

Trying to prevent a booking from being able to be booked during an existing booking

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating a custom code process to be able to lock down booking slots

What I learned

You can't use the contain function to look up a list with another list

What's next for Venue & Room Booking System

Being able to allocate people/tenants/other entities to the bookings and tracking additional data and metrics to the venues and courts.
