Inspiration

Restaurants lose revenue every day due to indecision, under-selling, and empty hours. While QR menus are now everywhere, they mostly replace paper instead of creating value.

We were inspired by how some restaurants in Dubai are starting to use QR codes not just to show menus, but to sell better. Venturo was born from a simple question: What if every table had the best salesperson in the room?

What it does

Venturo transforms a simple QR code into an AI-powered sales assistant for restaurants.

After scanning the QR code:

Customers answer a short, frictionless questionnaire

An AI “waiter” recommends the best dish for them, like a real top-tier server

Selected dishes can be visualized in AR directly on the table

Restaurants collect first-party customer data to re-engage them during off-peak hours

The result: higher average baskets, less hesitation, and a premium ordering experience.

How we built it

Frontend: Mobile-first web interface (QR-based)

AR: Web-based AR using model-viewer with GLB 3D models

AI: LLM-powered sales chatbot with a structured sales prompt

Logic: Short questionnaire → injected into LLM context

Data: Customer inputs stored as first-party data for restaurants

APIs: Featherless AI for conversational intelligence, Lovable for rapid product iteration

Everything was built from scratch during the hackathon.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a chatbot that sells naturally without feeling pushy or robotic

Keeping the experience fast and intuitive on mobile

Balancing technical ambition (AR + AI) with a strict 10-hour time limit

Making AR work smoothly across mobile browsers without native apps
