💡 Inspiration

Having spent months deep in the weeds coding custom web platforms and AI tools, I've realized developers and creators often fall into the same trap: building first and asking questions later. We invest massive amounts of time into coding before verifying if the market actually wants the product. I wanted to build a tool that forces founders to confront the reality of their idea before they invest their time. VentureCheck acts as an objective, AI-powered startup advisor.

⚙️ What it does

VentureCheck allows users to input a raw business or app idea in plain text. The application then processes this concept to generate a comprehensive, instant validation report. It analyzes potential market demand, identifies likely competitors, highlights potential friction points, and ultimately delivers a definitive GO or NO-GO verdict with a confidence score to help founders make data-driven decisions.

🛠️ How I built it

Building this entirely through MeDo allowed me to focus purely on the logic and user flow rather than getting bogged down in boilerplate code.

  • Prompting Strategy: I structured multi-turn conversations with MeDo to define the core state: accepting the user's text input and passing it through an analytical framework. I prompted MeDo to break down the analysis into distinct, readable UI cards (Competitors, Market Size, Risks).
  • The Most Impressive MeDo Feature: The ability to generate the dynamic landing page and the final results dashboard. MeDo seamlessly took my natural language instructions for the UI layout and generated a clean, professional interface that feels like a premium SaaS product.
  • Integrations: I leveraged MeDo's underlying LLM capabilities to ensure the feedback VentureCheck provides is grounded in realistic business logic, rather than just generic advice.

🚧 Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was tuning the application to be completely objective. Early on, the AI was too encouraging and approved almost every idea. I had to refine my multi-turn prompts within MeDo to instruct the underlying logic to act like a critical investor, actively looking for reasons an idea might fail to provide a truly balanced and useful analysis.

🏆 Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am incredibly proud of taking a complex, time-consuming process—market research and validation—and condensing it into a zero-friction, intuitive web app. Achieving this level of full-stack functionality and clean UI without writing traditional code is a huge win.

🔮 What's next for VentureCheck

In the future, I want to expand VentureCheck by integrating live search plugins for real-time competitor tracking and adding a feature that automatically generates a wireframe or MVP roadmap if the idea receives a "GO" verdict.
