Inspiration

We were inspired by Shark Tank and the excitement of pitching innovative ideas. We wanted to create an experience where users could practice selling their vision in a dynamic and immersive way while using an AI model.

What it does

Venture N' Vision is a VR pitch simulation game where users present their projects to a panel of robot judges, powered by LLaMA 3. The judges analyze the pitch, respond dynamically, and decide whether to "invest"—just like in Shark Tank.

How we built it

Development: Unity 6, OpenXR, Meta Quest 3 Art & Design: Illustrator, Blender, Aseprite

Challenges we ran into

Running AI models in real-time was highly taxing, especially on the Meta Quest, leading us to switch from LLaMA 3 to the Gemini API for better performance--optimization was a major focus to ensure smooth VR interactions. Meta’s restrictions on audio/speech-to-text input required alternative approaches, and balancing technical constraints with our design vision posed unique challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Establishing a cohesive and polished design style. Successfully implementing VR mechanics and animations. Staying dedicated—whether refining a chosen implementation or pivoting when necessary.

What we learned

Developing VR applications in Unity. Integrating large language models (LLMs) into Unity. Blender-to-Unity workflows, including animation, materials, and UV unwrapping.

What's next for Venture N' Vision

Expanding the AI judges’ personalities to create more diverse and engaging interactions. Maybe they can make counteroffers and compete amongst themselves for a more realistic scenario.
