Inspiration

Youth founders often struggle to access investors, mentors, and collaborators. Seeing this challenge firsthand in Kigali and across Africa inspired me to create VentureBridge, a platform that democratizes innovation and ensures every founder has a fair chance to connect with the right partners.

What it does

VentureBridge is an AI‑powered hub that connects youth founders with investors and collaborators. It features smart matching, pitch assistance, real‑time notifications, secure chat, and an admin portal with AI evaluation to keep the ecosystem inclusive and high‑quality.

How we built it

Defined the platform with a God Prompt in MeDo. Built founder and investor profiles, startup listings, and AI auto‑classification. Integrated AI matching, pitch assistant, and chatbot guidance. Added notifications and secure chat for real‑time collaboration. Designed an admin portal where AI flags low‑quality startups, and admins can remove them. Challenges we ran into

Moving from a plain prototype to a polished, professional design. Balancing inclusivity with quality control is solved by AI‑assisted evaluation. Ensuring smooth integration of multiple features without overwhelming users. Configuring the chatbot to provide both guidance and direct contact options.

How to leverage MeDo’s no‑code AI tools to build complex systems quickly. The importance of design and user experience in adoption. That structured categories and AI matching simplify discovery and collaboration. Building platforms is as much about community needs as it is about technology.
