Inspiration
V for Vendetta - especially the quote, "People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people."
What it does
Has a game called population control. To enter the game, press 1 on the menu screen. To exit, press the escape key. You find and click the 'terrorist' in the population to 'get rid of them'. The population eventually gets bigger, adding some confusion as the game goes on. In each game the player has two lives (indicated by the crosses on the left) and 1.105 seconds to find the terrorist (remember, remember the 5th of November). There is also a score counter on the left.
How we built it
Using pygame in Python.
Challenges we ran into
- It was supposed to have two games (the other being bomb defusal) but unfortunately the second wasn't completed with my original team. All that's left is my side of the code.
- Knowing where to start - I had only used pygame for visuals before, so I had to learn about the various elements that make a game
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making my first game!
What we learned
- Making game loops
- Dealing with pygame's time
- How to detect a click
What's next for Vengeance
- Maybe finish bomb defusal?
