Vendetta

Inspiration

• I have had many run-ins with unprofessional private security guards including unprofessional conduct with the general public while on duty, excessive force incidents with the local police caused by a private security guard, and unnecessary, ridiculous escalations of situations that could have been easily dealt with by a properly trained private security guard.

What it does

A web application for documenting adverse incidents and grievances against private security guards and private security companies. With that information, the proper request or form to the relevant state and local authorities are sent in order to hold these private actors accountable to the laws of the State of California and the people.

How we built it

Built over a day or so using DigitalOcean as the infrastructure platform running a Python based Streamlit full stack web application.

What we learned

• About how to properly report greviances against private security guards and private security companies in the state of California.

What's next for Vendetta

• Adding more features for case management on top of this POC.
