Inspiration

This website is all about helping food vendors get the support they need to succeed. We want to celebrate South Central by showing off local Hispanic and Black-owned businesses, from food trucks to street vendors. You can use maps, contact vendors directly, and even share your own story to connect with the community. We make permits, licenses, and legal stuff way easier so you can focus on serving amazing food. Basically, this site is a hub for growth, creativity, and community pride.

What it does

This website is here to help food vendors, especially in South Central, get their businesses off the ground. We make it easier to deal with permits, licenses, and legal stuff so you can focus on your food. Vendors can put their business on a map so people can find them, see reviews, and contact them directly. We also highlight local Hispanic and Black-owned vendors, from food trucks to street sellers, and let people share their stories to build the community. Basically, it’s a hub to support, promote, and celebrate food vendors.

How we built it

We used firebase Studio.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge I ran into while working on this project was figuring out how to make the vendor map both functional and visually clear. I had to balance showing enough information—like vendor details and reviews—without making the map feel cluttered. It took some trial and error to get the layout and interactions just right.
