Ai powered simple ChatBox, built with Streamlit & Gemini. It answers every question in until 12 question limit, after that it acts like it had a meltdown answering so much facts, and goes fun mode.
Inspiration- I wanted a fun way to explore facts, not for the book studies but for random curious questions. This project gives just the right platform for fun random questions, specially for people who seeks these kind of replies sometimes.
What it does- Velvety answers the question asked by user in a short compact size covering the key terms, and the actual facts.
How we built it- I wanted to build a website that is lighthearted to see and fun to use. So with the help of google gemini, I tried to build this.
Challenges we ran into- Managing local file structures and directory paths (.streamlit/secrets.toml) to securely handle sensitive API keys.
Accomplishments that we're proud of- I was first time working with API key for a website, and it was really a new experience for me while building a website as a first year student. But at last, i learned how to keep my data safe while publishing a website on publicly on github.
What we learned- I learned about security, and new features on github and different tools.
What's next for Velvety: Q&A chatbox- I will try and make this into more fun and humorous, and add some details too so people can like the front-end too.
