Inspiration
Running a modern hospital or clinic involves countless administrative tasks, resource allocation challenges, and unstructured data scattered across different systems. We noticed that healthcare administrators spend too much time on manual operations, leading to inefficiencies. Velnoc Intelligence was inspired by the need to bring true AI Transformation (AX) to hospital management, turning operational bottlenecks into data-driven, actionable insights.
What it does
Velnoc Intelligence is an AI-driven decision-making platform tailored for healthcare administrators. It ingests unstructured operational data (like patient flow, staff schedules, and resource usage) and uses OpenAI models to analyze and automate daily reporting. It provides a clean dashboard that highlights inefficiencies and recommends resource optimization.
How we built it
We built the core analytical engine using OpenAI's advanced models (GPT-4o and Codex) to process and structure the raw operational data. The frontend is developed with Next.js and deployed on Vercel to ensure a fast, responsive user experience. We also integrated automated workflows to route processed data into a centralized database seamlessly.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was accurately structuring highly variable and unstructured clinic data into standard formats. Refined prompt engineering and leveraging OpenAI's ability to interpret complex data patterns were crucial in overcoming this. Additionally, optimizing API calls to maintain performance within Vercel's deployment environment was a key focus.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a seamless pipeline that takes raw clinic data and turns it into an automated, readable executive summary in real-time. This drastically reduces the time needed for administrative reporting and empowers quick decision-making.
What we learned
We learned the immense potential of LLMs not just in text generation, but as core analytical engines for business intelligence. We also gained deeper insights into prompt optimization for consistent, production-ready outputs.
What's next for Velnoc Intelligence
We plan to expand our data integrations to include direct connections with broader healthcare management systems and develop predictive models for patient influx and medical inventory management.
