🌾 Velan AI – An Agentic AI-Powered Multilingual Platform for Farmers

✨ Inspiration

Agriculture is the backbone of India, yet smallholder and tribal farmers face barriers like:  Limited access to modern tools and seeds  Unpredictable weather conditions  Crop diseases with delayed identification  Language and digital literacy gaps  Weak market connections with buyers We were inspired to design Velan AI, a simple, icon-based, multilingual application that empowers farmers, buyers, and renters by bridging the gap between traditional agriculture and modern AI technology.

🎯 Objective

Velan AI aims to:  Provide AI-powered support for farming decisions  Enable easy tool/seed renting & buying  Help farmers with crop disease identification  Predict market prices for better profit  Overcome language barriers with multilingual design

 Ensuring ease of use for digitally less literate farmers  Collecting reliable datasets for crop disease detection  Implementing multilingual support effectively  Maintaining real-time predictions in low-network rural areas

 Expand disease dataset for more crops  Add voice-based chatbot for illiterate farmers  Integrate digital payment system for transactions  Connect farmers directly with government schemes & subsidies
