Vela was born from the realization that college life doesn't follow a 9-to-5 rhythm, as 67% of students struggle with chronic sleep deprivation that leads to poor grades and burnout. We built an AI-powered recovery intelligence system that pairs with any ring to read your life instead of just your vitals, using calendar awareness to detect exams and "rough nights" to provide proactive recovery plans. Our development focused on solving the friction of modern health tracking by implementing natural language diet logging and an on-chain verified digital Health Card that first responders can access via QR code without an app. Through this process, we learned that static recovery scores are insufficient for students, so we created a system that dynamically recommends supplement stacks and adjusts workout intensity based on menstrual cycles or stress levels. Moving forward, Vela aims to refine its predictive warnings to help students master their inner metrics and act before problems happen, proving that prevention is truly better than cure.
