There is no national database of immunization records and the inability to quickly locate these records in times of need can often times create unnecessary delays, re-vaccination or blood tests. Most schools and daycare facilities will require vaccination proof before attending and some international travel destinations require vaccinations. The CDC also recommends several vaccinations at different ages during childhood.
Some states offer a database of immunization records but these are limited and only contain patients records who have opted in to sharing them. People can move out of the state or country and vaccinations can be stored in several state databases creating a silo effect making it difficult to locate immunization records.
Our solution is to use block chain technology to create a global decentralized database of immunization records that can allow the patients to control their immunization records to easily, securely and selectively share them when needed with the push of a button.
