Vaxxed4Life

This website aims to increase community access to vaccines. The site enables users to search for vaccine provider locations near their zipcode and log their vaccination dosages-- with the support of a cute vaccine character! A vaccination log keeps community members aware of appt. dates and when they are eligible for their next dose or booster. Althogether, these features help make the process of getting a vaccine easier and ultimately make for a healthy community that can come together. #Buildingbridges
The backend was made by connecting to an API from data.cdc.gov and using Flask to integrate html and python. The frontend was made using html and css. A challenge we ran into was trying to connect our site and server to a web domain. We are proud of persevering through the challenges to make a site semi-functional. This is our first hackathon and we learned that everything does not go as planned and that website building is hard.
