Hundreds of thousands of people are visually impaired

What it does

An application which lets you take a picture and which then speaks what is in the picture or the text in the picture.

How I built it

Used expo to build the front end and using cloud computing of AWS. Deployed apis for different feature which application calls.

Challenges I ran into

Integration of aws s3 upload in my project. Lambda functions in aws

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Learnt alot about aws in 4 days.

What's next for VAVI- Visual Assistant for Visually Impaired

  1. Removing bugs (alot of them)
  2. Adding more features (Facial analysis, Age Estimation, Expression, Scene detection)
  3. Improving added features
