The inspiration for EagleSight AI came after realizing how often tiny defects escape human eyes during factory inspections and infrastructure maintenance. Wanting to solve this costly problem, the team combined computer vision with deep learning to create an assistant that detects, classifies, and reports every visual change between images—cracks, color fades, or misprints.
Building EagleSight AI meant learning about image alignment, designing AI models for defect classification, and optimizing a user-friendly dashboard. Challenges included finding the right sample data, achieving accurate image registration, and delivering fast results within hackathon time limits. The experience proved that technology can amplify human accuracy, making inspections simpler and safer for everyone.
