Inspiration
We both enjoy playing Valorant. It is fun to play with friends and has lots of teamplay. With our knowledge of computer science, we thought it would be very exciting to create something that we both love.
What it does
It provides information about the game and many of the major features. Some of these include the agents, or playable characters, and the maps.
How we built it
We started off by creating a GitHub repository so we could share our work together. Afterwards we used tools like Visual Studio Code to help implement our ideas into code. Later we focused on creating an Aim Game that still resembles the Wack a Mole game that we got our inspiration from.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were just learning how to do HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Specifically Alex had no prior knowledge of these languages and only knew about Java. Therefore it was definitely more difficult to learn the new languages and quickly adapt and code. Nicholas struggled with lining up the images for the website since it was very time consuming and frustrating. Overall this project was challenging but through hard work we were able to achieve our goal.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some accomplishments we are proud of are that when we finished up the website and configured all the buttons, it worked very nicely and was designed very cleanly. In addition, when the game function properly it was satisfying to play it.
What we learned
We learned how to use HTML , JavaScript , and CSS more proficiently. Some of us even learned new languages.
What's next for Wiki Valorant
The next project we might work might be coded through a new different language since we love learning new things. Hopefully we code a more game like application next time.
