Everything. Valence is a one-person project: product, design system,
the Flutter app, the Firestore data model and security rules, the
adherence scoring engine, the Gemini integration behind meal scanning
and client analysis, the RevenueCat subscription layer, localization
into six languages including Arabic, and the demo video.
The two parts I spent the most time on are the adherence engine, which
had to become a pure, exhaustively tested function because it makes a
judgement about a real person, and the AI client analysis, where most
of the work went into what the model is not allowed to say.
