Inspiration
I was inspired by James Clear's Atomic Habits — specifically the idea that small, consistent actions compound into remarkable results over time. Clear argues that we don't rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems.
That insight hit me hard. Most goal-setting apps focus on the destination, not the daily system. So I asked myself: what if an app could automatically create that system for you?
One Goal Daily is my answer — an AI that takes any goal and turns it into one small, actionable daily step. Because if you just focus on today's step, the big goal takes care of itself.
What it does
One Goal Daily takes any goal you have and uses AI to break it down into one small, clear daily step. You check it off each day and watch your progress grow — one tiny step at a time.
How I built it
Built using Lovable for the frontend, Supabase for the backend and authentication, and integrated Pendo Novus SDK for product analytics and user behavior tracking.
Challenges I ran into
Making the AI output feel personal and actionable — not generic. I iterated on the prompt design to make sure every daily step felt achievable and specific to the user's goal.
What I learned
How quickly you can go from idea to a working product with modern AI-powered tools. Also, simplicity wins — the fewer decisions a user has to make, the better.
What's next for One Goal Daily
Adding streaks, reminders, and a progress dashboard to keep users motivated long-term.
