VacTrack

Inspiration

The recent developments in the vaccine for the Coronavirus. Now that the cure is out, people are going to be more confident in going out and might flout the necessary social distancing and other precautionary requirements.

What it does

VacTrack provides statistics by country for Coronavirus cases and Vaccinations, and uses Machine Learning to make predictions about future cases.

How we built it

We made the front end of the website using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We ran out of time long before we came close to finishing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Did the API calls succesfully using Django. Used Firebase for real-time database management.

What we learned

This was the first time any of us were dealing with APIs and Machine Learning, we learned a lot in dealing with them. It was also our first time creating a front-end using Figma and we made valuable additions to our skillset.
