Inspiration

In India, vaccine slots are almost unavailable to a 18 to 45 aged citizen. We are among the ones who are still unable to register for vaccination.

What it does

We designed this app in such a way that a normal citizen could be notified of the availability.

How we built it

We built it by combining Flutter and Python. We had a bit of practice on automatic testing . We used selenium through python and automated the process of finding a slot in particular Area (pincode) or using State and District

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was the final integration of Python script and Flutter App but we were able to overcome that challenge with a little patience. The Other Challenge we faced was that the website was poorly marked i.e. simple div tags with no id and with ::before and ::after css selectors as well. We are new to Flutter and thus, we faced a minor lag but we were able to cope .

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to Select various attributes in selecting a vaccination centre and were able to calculate the total number of possible slots within a week. We are really proud that we could establish custom buttons similar to checkboxes in our app and we were able to pass the boolean values forward

What we learned

We learned a lottt about Flutter mechanics, But mainly we learnt how to handle our time . We also learnt how to divide our workload and integrate in a timely manner.

What's next for Vaccine Slot Notifier Flutter App

We would like to add automatic location detector using APIs and many more features like Support for multiple countries. We would also like to complete our Notifying feature
