Inspiration
For this project, we were inspired to help specific groups of people who might not be able to book appointments. These include those who are homeless/poor, elderly, don't have access to the Internet, and so on.
What it does
The application allows people at homeless shelters, stores, or other places enter information for people and then provide them with printouts, QR codes, and so on. The people who are given these papers can use them to get notifications about their vaccine via an email, mail, or other means.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, and Google's Java computer language.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into problems with the application using the Google Drive and deploying to a domain.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of deploying and having a final product.
What we learned
We both learned how to use Google more and the resources provided by it.
What's next for Vaccine Helper
We would like to use APIs, machine learning, and so on to make the project better. We would also like to work more on the front-end development and add more features later on.
