Vaccine Eligibility

Inspiration

Our inspiration for this entire project was QDoc's Challenge: Smart Vaccine Eligibility and Reminder System.

What it does

It's like Akinator, who ask you questions to help you find what vaccines you are eligible to receive.

How we built it

We built on NextJS and NestJS for front-end and back-end languages, respectively.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into the problem of nesting questions within questions. Some questions were dependent on how other questions were answered first, but we realized that if we did that, a lot of problems would occur. One other challenge we had was learning a whole new language outright. I think it was difficult to learn a new language and solve a problem within only 24 hours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud when we finally got to connect the back-end server with the front-end. Researching how to connect took long, on why it didn't work with ours.

What we learned

We learned how to use NestJS and NextJS, with each of our members learning how to work as a front-end, back-end or both.

What's next for Vaccine Eligibility

We could at least improve the UI, for we felt very rushed when making one up. We could also add more vaccines for this project could still be expanded on.
