Inspiration

Eliminate COVID-19 from India as soon as possible

What it does

registers people, segregates them according to the location of vaccination booths, sorts people according to vulnerability to death due to COVID-19 and invites them to their nearest booth in a given timeslot.

How I built it

front end registration app using flutter backend segregation, sorting and mailing program using python database using google firebase

Challenges I ran into

To make a cross platform application which works on android, ios, and web. Selecting the appropriate database to use. Coming up with our own segregation, sorting and mailing algorithm and then finding existing libraries to perform the tasks quickly.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Successfully developed a cross platform application. Successfully use a powerful database service. Successfully set up a backend application which can perform all the tasks required. Aid the nation by providing service to fight COVID-19.

What I learned

Learned to work in a team, various frameworks like flutter, python, basics of data science, dart, firebase, SMTP, the interaction of frontend, database and backend.

What's next for Vaccine Distribution System

In future, We can verify the details input by the user by linking the app through Aadhar Card and Aarogya Setu Database. We can add the facility to reschedule the time slots given. The applicants can see their invitation details using an application number where they can find their time slot and booth location
