Inspiration
During this COVID-19 pandemic, it is often difficult to keep up with the news and to be able to separate fact from fear. I wanted to create something that would help students like me, make decisions for themselves about COVID-19 and keep themselves informed as we move into the vaccination phase of the pandemic. I understand how vaccines can be scary and overwhelming, especially if you are afraid of hospitals or needles, but it’s for the safety and health of all of us that we get vaccinated when it is our turn to do so. It is also important to keep in mind that even if you are vaccinated, you must continue to wear a mask to help prevent the spread to others who are not vaccinated. But who says we don’t have to embrace our masks and create a “Mask Culture” out of it in the process!
What it does
It educates individuals on COVID-19 and separates fact from fear on what it means to be vaccinated!
How we built it
I built it using Figma!
Challenges we ran into
It was tough deciding on a color scheme and deciding on what to include.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that I got to learn a new tool of design that I have never used before and love that I was able to create something that is current and could hopefully help a lot of people.
What we learned
I learned how to use Figma and how to combine my skills of design and technology.
What's next for Vaccine Buddy
Hopefully a tool that would let you share what you learned with family and friends to encourage them to get vaccinated as well!
