Inspiration

With the wide coverage and severe symptoms of COVID-19, there is a large demand for the vaccine. However, with such a large demand, how can we distribute the resources more efficiently?

With this concern, we decided to design a system that helps customers register for the vaccination.

What it does

Our website provide access to 3 kinds of persons: people who want to register for vaccination, people who have registered for vaccination and want to view the past registration, and the administrators who keep track of the whole system.

How we built it

Use NodeJS with PostgreSQL.

Challenges we ran into

Short of time. It is impractical to implement features in extensions (see slides).
Lack of experience. Some teammates have no prior experience in web development.
VPN users cannot connect to database.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to build a website with vaccination register and order functionality within 24 hours from scratch.

What we learned

Some teammates learned NodeJS.
