Inspiration

Vaadha came from noticing how exhausting modern dating can feel, and how most matching apps still ignore the way many South Asian relationships actually happen. Matchmaking has worked for generations, but the people doing the work today still don’t have tools made for their reality. Vaadha is our attempt to modernize that experience in a way that feels organized, private, and culturally aware.

What it does

Allows Matchmakers to enter & organize data, automates matching based on preferences & requirements, and generates AI reports on relationship compatibility.

How we built it

We used Next.js for the client side & API, and Supabase Postgres for the database.

Challenges we ran into

Matching users based on requirements and preferences required complex backend functions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a competent prototype that shows what Vaadha is capable of!

What we learned

Matchmaking is not easy, and the business itself has a LOT of nuance. Navigating the complex workflows and creating a simplified UX was a great challenge to improve our skills.
