Not only does it allow start-ups to search for VCs with our filtering functions; we also generate smart scores to show how well the two sides match. We crawled through over 20000 existing online VC profiles, and used the CrunchBase API to form our database. When a start-up selects its investors, it usually goes through several rounds of filtering. From all available VCs nearby, to those who are actively investing (not at the end of their investment cycle), to those with investment thesis that cohere with their markets etc...
