Inspiration

The ever-expanding world of Web3 demands a new generation of financial tools. We were inspired by the potential of the Lightning Network to revolutionize online transactions, enabling faster, cheaper, and more accessible payments within the Web3 ecosystem.

What it does

UTXO Global is a Chrome extension wallet designed to be the gateway to seamless Web3 transactions through the Lightning Network. Our user-friendly interface empowers users to:

Send and receive payments with ease, leveraging the speed and efficiency of the Lightning Network.
Manage their UTXOs (Unspent Transaction Outputs) effectively within a user-friendly interface.
Interact seamlessly with Web3 applications and services, all within the Chrome extension.

How we built it

UTXO Global is built on the foundation of the Lightning Network, integrating with Lightning Nodes to facilitate transactions. We utilized web3 libraries and APIs to enable interaction with Web3 applications and services. Our focus throughout development remained on creating a user-friendly interface that simplifies complex Web3 concepts for a broader audience.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was ensuring smooth interaction between the web3 UTXO model and the LN's channel-based structure. Additionally, optimizing the user experience for both beginners and experienced users required careful design considerations.

We envision UTXO Global becoming a leading platform for interacting with the Lightning Network. Our future plans include:
