Inspiration

Most people face the frustration of unused free trials, expiring credits and forgotten perks like the Bolt Hackathon perks. Usually one receives such and doesn't know how to use well such credits. I thought of something that I can use to track such freebies in one place and have some guidance on using them.

What it does

  • Portfolio-grade resource tracking: A dashboard to view total value, at-risk assets, and ROI achievement.
  • AI-powered Smart Acquisition: Revolutionary features like "Smart Extract" (paste text to auto-fill perk details) and "Web Discovery" (search for current offers).
  • Intelligent Data Assistant: An AI learning advisor, powered by Google Gemini, that offers personalized optimization strategies, project ideas, and learning paths based on your current portfolio.
  • Smart categorization and expiry alerts: Automated warnings for expiring assets and categorization of tools (Cloud, AI, Hosting, Database, etc.).
  • Progress tracking: A 4-stage utilization pipeline for each asset, from reading docs to using in a project. Advanced portfolio configuration: Customizable alerts, investment goals, and robust data management features.

How I built it

I used chatgpt for ideation and Bolt for implementation. All prompting,.

Challenges I ran into

  1. Bolt AI doesn't have access to the internet so it was a bit hard to get it to know the latest information like latest gemini models.
  2. Initially it was hard to get the perfect expected app, as it looked generic. The issue was prompting skills issue.
  3. Getting a worthy idea to implement. ## Accomplishments that I am proud of
  4. Building an app in few days, 2 days to be exact.
  5. Being a part of the world's largest hackathon.
  6. Learning new skills e.g prompts that improves the AI output and reduce token usage.

What's next for Utilize My Tech

This is just a demo, prototype for a simple idea in my mind. I am looking to test my app if its viable. Their are lots of improvements to be made and features to be added. It's something that I can use on daily basis.
