Inspiration

We were inspired by how complicated it can be to find other people to study with—especially people who have the same idea of a study session in mind. For instance, some people prefer study sessions that are talkative, while others prefer it quiet. In this case, UTD Study was created to make the process of finding a study group easier for students at UT Dallas using the Nebula API.

What it does

It helps students connect with each others to study.

How we built it

We built it using React.js and Firebase.

Challenges we ran into

Determining the database schema, and the front-end design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we each learned something new and had the opportunity to actually create something!

What we learned

We learned about APIs and web development.

What's next for UTD Study

We would like to implement more features for the application, such as group chats, the ability for users to "friend" other users, and a feature for users to study with and meet their neighbors to encourage community belonging.
