Inspiration

As a Utah resident who values citizenship, I wanted to build a tool to facilitate government transparency. I decided to focus on separation of church and state since that has historically been a concern in my state.

What it does

It is a chatbot that answers questions about a selection of Utah House and Senate bills via vector search.

What's next for Utah Gov AI

• Specialized legal analysis to incorporate various frameworks
• Allow users to select any Utah bill instead of a preset list
• Streaming LLM responses
• Agentic capabilities around political action, e.g. emailing or calling representatives
