Inspiration
Currently as schools across the nation have been moved online due to COVID-19 it's much harder to meet your classmates and form study groups so we decided to make a website that would make the process much simpler.
What it does
Essentially you put in your state, school, and course code and then it will first look for study groups that already exist and add you to it, other wise it will ask you to create a new group.
How we built it
We built it using a web app project on visual studio.
Challenges we ran into
Before this none of us have ever worked with transferring data from server side to client side so it took a lot of debugging on that end. Also since we were working with an .aspx file we ran into a lot of issues using the css.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Honestly just getting it finished and working is something we're really proud of cause early on we ran into a lot of bugs that we just couldn't figure out but eventually it all sort of just worked out.
What we learned
We learned how to create and upload a web app using microsoft azure and visual studio as well as how to create a database server on the cloud.
What's next for UStudentGroups
We wanted to add an availability option where each member can pick dates and times that they're available.
